The Times has revealed that "Soldiers whose lives have been shattered by the trauma of fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq are being given as little as £3,000 compensation after their medical discharge."

This is yet another indiication of how Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is not being taken as seriously as other forms of injury resulting from war. Losing one's mind is not seen as anything like a physical injury like losing an arm or a leg.
