The Militarisation of the Pacific

Speakers:

NATO was begun in 1949 as a military and political alliance of European nations and the US and Canada designed to protect Western Europe from a Soviet attack.

Dave Webb will report back from his recent trips to the Pacific region, notably Jeju Island and Hawaii, the No to NATO meetings in Chicago.

Rae Street will talk about her leading role in drawing public attention to the role of nuclear-armed NATO in today's world.
